Everything you need to know about Street Machine Drag Challenge:
Everyone has an opinion on what constitutes a street car, and the quicker the cars get the more intense the argument becomes; how do you decide what’s street and what’s not?
So in 2014 we took a leaf out of Hot Rod’s book and created our own version of their iconic Drag Week – we call it Street Machine Drag Challenge. It’s the toughest test for street cars in the country.
Our next event is Drag Challenge 2022/23, 31 Jan to 4 Feb.
Drag Challenge 2022/32 schedule:
- Monday 30 January: Rego Day, Heathcote Park Raceway. Gates open 8.00am, registration from 9.00am to 7.00pm
- Tuesday 31 January: Day One, Heathcote Park Raceway. Gates open 7.00am, driver's briefing 8.30am, racing from 9.00am to 3.00pm
- Wednesday 1 February: Day Two, South Coast Raceway. Gates open 8.00am, racing 10.00am to 4.00pm
- Thursday 2 February: Day Three, Mildura Sunset Strip. Racing 4.00pm to 10.00pm
- Friday 3 February: Day Four, Heathcote Park Raceway. Gates open 2.00pm, racing from 4.00pm to 10.00pm
- Saturday 4 February: Day Five, Heathcote Park Raceway. Gates open 8.00am, racing from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Presentations 5.00pm
